Primary 7 Boys & Girls,
Well boys & girls............. the time has come, the time I always dread in P7 as saying goodbye is always difficult but this year is all the more difficult as I haven't seen you all since Friday 14th March. What a journey we have been on this year, it is most definitely a time we won't forget and a time that will be written about in history books in years to come. You will be part of that history for your experience through "Lockdown 2020" and will be able to pass on the stories in years to come. You should be so proud of yourselves for getting this far and for the tremendous effort you have continued to put in at home. I have absolutely loved teaching you all this year as you have made my job so enjoyable with your enthusiasm, dedication and also your wonderful and humorous personalities. There isn't a day from September to March that I don't remember laughing! You have shown so much resilience during this challenging and scary time and continued to show this enthusiasm and dedication. I loved receiving the daily and weekly updates with photos of work, art projects, baking skills and even the creative lessons during alternative learning week.
I have no doubt in my mind that your future will hold great things as you are a special bunch of boys & girls. I look forward to seeing you all next week for our final goodbye.
Primary 7 Parents,
I firstly want to congratulate you on making it to the end of "home-learning 2020." I know it has been a time filled with so many emotions particularly for you P7 parents as your children's primary education was cut short. Thank you for your support during this time and encouraging your children to continue the high quality work that they produced in the classroom. Your children are a credit to you and all so lucky to have you as their advocates as they have such a supportive and dedicated set of parents. In a time of hardships and uncertainty you provided them with the love, support and encouragement they needed to continue on their learning journey, which I am very grateful for. I hope you have enjoyed the extra time spent in the home developing skills you never thought you'd have time to teach them. We have all been encouraged to take a step back and enjoy the small things in life which ultimately family is at the centre of which I hope you continue.
Your children will always hold a special place in my heart and I will never forget the journey we embarked on this year. I have enjoyed communicating with you all over this period and hope to see you all someday soon. I hope you have a great Summer and can enjoy some normality.
