Primary 6 Mrs Mc Menamin

A Special Summer Message to our Primary 6 Families!

Boys and Girls of Primary 6!

We have come to the end of the most bizarre year of any of our lives and one that I’m sure we may never experience again in our lifetimes. It will definitely be a time that will be written about in the history books and we will pass in stories of what we did during the Lock-down of 2020. You have been an excellent class and I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching you. You have also helped me greatly when we embarked upon our home learning journey together. Your creativity and imagination throughout has been wonderful and I am astounded at how dedicated you have been to your studies. It has been so encouraging to see you complete the set activities each week and I loved receiving all the lovely samples of your work, especially the poems, stories, book reviews and fantastic projects on the Vikings!

You are truly a remarkable group of children who have shown great resilience during a time of uncertainty and always had smiles on your faces. You will hold a special place in my heart. I hope you enjoy your summer break and have great fun. Don’t forget to continue to read a little, revise mental maths and do a little writing! Make sure you help out around the house too… I’ll be asking all the mammies!

I am looking forward to seeing you all in September.

Dear Parents,

As we approach the end of Primary 6, I first want to thank you for your support during this school year and especially during the final term, where consequently you became the teacher! Each week you downloaded work, completed packs, searched textbooks and came up with inventive ways of keeping your children entertained, busy and learning. This has been a time of great worry and hardship for many and the most important thing was that your children felt safe and secure. I have enjoyed the regular communication, updates and of course all the beautiful photos. The importance of family and the simple things in life have really been brought to the forefront during this time and I really do hope that you continue with some of these special activities. I know that I will be trying this with my own children. Enjoy your summer break and thank you again for all your support during this time. I wholeheartedly appreciate it. Hope to see you all soon.

Kindest Regards

Ashling McMenamin
